Commander Nancy Harkness Love of the Women's Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron (TIME, Sept. 21) last week told about WAFS uniforms: grey-green wool gabardine jackets with squared shoulders, gored skirts, overseas caps to match, civilian pilot wings on left breast pocket, tan broadcloth shirts and ties. For flying there will be helmets and grey-green slenderizing slacks (see cut). (Uniforms required on active duty only, optional at other times.)
