Canada: THE DOMINION: Squiggle
The Government's National War Finance Committee, blushing with embarrassment, suddenly withdrew from circulation a poster with which it had been plugging Victory Bond sales. On a facsimile of a bond, a grudging artist had squiggled in minuscule script: "The Government of the Dominion of Canada [two illegible words] have gone too far to be of any good use [ten illegible words]."
