The U. S. is only the third richest nation when its total wealth is divided by its 118,000,000 inhabitants, according to new calculations of Redmond & Co., Manhattan investment house. Per capita wealth of New Zealand is $3,317.70; of Switzerland, $2,998.20; of the U. S., $2,941.90; of Rumania, $2,808.90. Poorest are Bulgaria, $403.10; Greece, $395.80; Soviet Russia, $216.60.
