To Alberta's Social Credit Premier William C. ("Bible Bill") Aberhart, the profitless acres of the neighboring Province of Saskatchewan have long seemed a fertile field for the extension of his political and economic theories. For nine years, Saskatchewan's staple crop—wheat —has either brought non-profit prices or has been burned out by successive droughts.
