Foreign News: The Master Race Steps Down
Recent Berlin propaganda reveals that the two basic Nazi conceptions of Herrenvolk (the master race) and German Lebensraum (living space) have been shelved until further notice. The Nazis now pretend to have made the following concessions to Italy and other "allies" of the Axis:
> The Germans in the future shall be only one of many peoples with equal rights.
> German Lebensraum gives way to European Lebensraum, with Germany acting only as attorney for all Europe.
A new "European charter" is the propagandistic excuse for the comedown from the Herrenvolk idea. Said one Nazi paper: "The difference between the Atlantic Charter and the now newly formed European Charter is that England has no National Socialist Party [to] guide the fate of continental countries."
