Over central China's hills a Chinese-manned B-25 Mitchell bomber was hopelessly lost, its radio useless. With Oriental resourcefulness, the navigator parachuted out over a village. While the plane circled, he got his bearings, rounded up natives with many baskets of rice. Then he spread the white grains on the ground to spell out location and directions. The B-25 flew straight to its Chinese-American Wing base. The navigator walked in, three days later.
