National Affairs: The Anti-Communist Bill

¶ Authorizes the Attorney General to intern potential spies and saboteurs in time of war, invasion or insurrection.

¶ Authorizes the Attorney General to cite at any time organizations which he believes to be Communist or Communist fronts. Sets up a three-man Subversive Activities Board to decide whether the organizations are subversive or not. Those labeled as Reds may appeal the decision to the court of appeals and to the Supreme Court.

¶ Requires Communist organizations to register themselves and their members with the Attorney General and Communist fronts to register their officers.

¶ Makes it a crime to 1) "conspire ... to perform...
