THE AMERICAS: Joint Action

In response to an appeal by U.S. Secretary of State Dean Acheson, the foreign ministers of the 21 American republics will meet in Washington late next month to plan joint action against "the aggressive policy of international Communism." The decision to call the meeting was taken unanimously last week by the Organization of American States' Council in Washington. A seven-man committee, composed of delegates representing Venezuela, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico and the U.S., was appointed to work out the agenda for the meeting.
