BATTLE OF KOREA: All But Quiet on the Front
In its 85th week of war, and 31st of trucemaking, the Battle of Korea was at its quietest. U.S. casualties were less than in any other week: 29 killed, 19 missing, 189 wounded. In the air war, the Fifth Air Force last week reported the loss of three planes, lowest toll since it began pounding the enemy supply lines last August.
