Musicologist Raugel and friends consoled themselves with plans for a possible concert of genuine music by Moulinié. Did they expect to hear a masterpiece? "My God, no," said one critic, "[Moulinié's] music has no pretensions." But, he promised, "it is ... loyal and sincere."
