The Press: Census

Circulation of U.S. dailies during 1952 slipped a bit to 53,950,615 from last year's record high of 54,017,958, Editor & Publisher reported last week. Of the 1,786 daily U.S. newspapers (15 more than 1951), the 527 morning papers sold 21,159,527 copies a day, while the 1,459 evening papers sold 32,791,088.
