ELECTIONS: A Year After & a Year Before

It was a year since the great landslide swept Dwight Eisenhower into the White House. The next national elections, for the Senate and House of Representatives, were a year away. At that political middle point, U.S. voters went to the polls last week in scattered state and local elections.
