The spiritual side of driving a car came in for intensive study in Seattle last week at the first of what the National Safety Council hopes will be a nationwide series of "moral-emphasis safety workshops." Some 250 laymen and clergymen from the Puget Sound areaincluding Protestants, Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Jews and Buddhistsmet to discuss ways and means of awakening the conscience of the man behind the wheel.
