AUTOS: Compact Expansion
Two new models were added last week to the list of compact cars:
¶ A two-door Corvair coupe with the same 80-h.p. engine as in the four-door, and a factory list price of $1,810 for the standard model and $1,870 for the deluxe, $50 under the four-door price. Optional equipment: a four-speed transmission and power pack, which should add an additional 15 to 20 h.p.
¶ Two-and four-door Falcon station wagons which, with the second seat folded down, will provide almost as much luggage space as the 1957 regular Ford station wagon. Price: about $300 above the Tudor and Fordor Falcon sedans.
