JAPAN: Sympathy, Friendship
Accompanied by twelve attaches, Masanano Hanihara, newly appointed Japanese Ambassador, presented his credentials to President Harding at Washington. The President on receiving the Ambassador said that he was sure Hanihara would do much to advance the common interests of his country and the United States. In replying the Japanese Ambassador delivered a message of good will from his Sovereign and said that he would " on all occasions, move in an atmosphere of sympathy, friendship, and under-standing."
