GOODS & SERVICES
Platter Chatter. Columbia Records, Inc. brought out four unbreakable 6-in., 78 r.p.m. records for children, starring Ballplayers Phil Rizzuto, Yogi Berra, Bob Feller and Ralph Kiner. Each star gives tips on his specialty ("Here's how to lay down a sacrifice bunt . . ."; "A good pitcher never leaves anything to chance . ; ." etc.). Price per record: 34¢.
Triple Threat. Comedian Danny Kaye and his manager took out a patent on a new blowout paper toy for children. Instead of having merely one rolled-up tongue with a feather on the end, the Kaye version has threeone that shoots out to the right, one to the left, and one straight up in the air, to tickle the nose.
Snagless Zipper. Manhattan's Snag-Pruf Zipper Corp., which has been turning out a new nonjamming zipper for wholesalers at the rate of 100,000 a day, will sell it at retail for the first time this summer. The "trolley" can be removed from the tracks simply by pressing down on the tab used to pull it. Thus, any material that has been caught up can easily be freed.
