Better Head Lamp. After four years of joint research, a group of auto headlamp manufacturers has produced a brighter, sealed-beam lamp, with redesigned lens and hooded filament that throw the beam more to the right side of the road and screen out stray lights above the beam pattern. The new sealed-beam unit fits current models. Price: about $2.

Superspeed Film. Eastman Kodak Co. put on sale a new roll film in 35-mm., 620 and 120 sizes that is twice as fast as Kodak's Super-XX. The new TriX film will take indoor snapshots with ordinary light, night sports events without flash. Price: same as Kodak's Super-XX.

Dripless Paint. An odorless paint that will not splash was put on sale by Superior Paint & Varnish Corp. of Chicago. The paint, which looks like thick whipped cream, thins out under the friction of the brush. Price: 1 gal., $5.35.

Ham & Chips. "Bar BQ" potato chips coated with a spicy tomato-paste sauce have been put on the market by Frito of New York, Inc. and the Lay Potato Chip Co., Atlanta. Price: 29¢ for a 3½-oz. package. For quick snacks, George A. Hormel & Co. has put on sale precooked pieces of ham wrapped in egg and breadcrumb mix and fastened on a stick. Price: 59¢ for a box of eight.
