Religion: Words of the Week
One of the chief enemies of the Christian home, as listed by the Rev.-James A. Jones, pastor of Myers Park Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, N.C., in a speech to his city's Parents' League last week: "The multiplicity of civic enterprises . . . Some parents are so involved in the serious business of doing something for the children of the community that they fail to do as they should for the children of their own homes . . . [Even] the church may invade too deeply the interests of a home. Parents have no right to look after the affairs of the church down the street to the penalty of the church of the home."
