Should not Americans begin to ask themselves these questions: Whether England wins or not, will it have been enough for the future peace of our consciences that we only formed a safely protected cheering section? And one not quite loud enough to drown out the boos of our Communazis. Will it have been enough that we supplied England with war materials—at a nice profit and at no risk? Will it have been enough that we armed ourselves to the teeth but would not join our fighting might to the mighty fighters of...
