National Affairs: Idaho, a Weather Vane

In the last twelve presidential elections, Idaho and the nation have gone the same way. This year the state has no other statewide political race to cause any side drafts on the presidential contest. A close look at the weather vane—through the eyes of the Associated Press poll of local editors and of the state's most experienced political observers—last week gave an indication of the late September wind direction: In Idaho, Ike Eisenhower seems to be ahead.
