Her fic- tionalized account of how eight of them came roaring down from Poughkeepsie straight into the toils and troubles of REAL LIFE kept The Group on the best seller list for 48 consecutive weeks. Now it is Hollywood's round, and the daisy chain of speculation has shifted from who-was-really-who to how-will-we-all-look? The class needn't fret. '33 will look good, like a Vassar class should.

For the principal roles, United Artists has rounded up a prize bouquet of star lets, including Edgar Bergen's daughter Candice (U. of Penn '67); talented, TV-trained Joan Hackett; and Poor Rich ard's Joanna Pettet, 21, a bright new face of the past Broadway season.
