The former Soviet Union has approached the Pentagon for an unusual form of assistance. Its armed forces need chaplains. But with seminaries in Mother Russia shut down for the past 70 years, nobody is sure how to proceed. The Pentagon plans to help its new brethren-in-arms establish a chaplains corps. Looks like pretty soon the Vatican will have officers in the KGB's homeland.
