The Democrats are out to get NEWT GINGRICH, and they've got some unexpected allies across the aisle as the conservative House minority whip campaigns for re-election. Gingrich has earned enmity in abundance for his junkyard-dog tactics. Case in point: House minority leader Robert Michel. Says a Michel aide: "Maybe the Democrats can't get Clinton elected, but at least they should be able to get rid of Newt. It would make our lives up here so much easier."
