Ben Plays His Cards Right
Even ex-fiance Jennifer Lopez couldn't tell when this guy was bluffing. So it should come as no surprise that Daredevil's seven-card stud, BEN AFFLECK, beat out nearly 90 other players to win first place and $356,400 at a major California poker tournament last week. His victory in the $10,000 buy-in event earned the avid gambler a seat in the World Poker Tour Championship, to be held next April in Las Vegas. Affleck outlasted a former world champ and fellow action hero Tobey Maguire at the tourney in Commerce, Calif., to "become a respected member of the poker elite," a casino rep said. Now if only the star of such clinkers as Paycheck and Gigli made smarter bets on his films.
