It seems Al Gore did some sartorial cramming before his first day as a visiting professor at Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. Once he gets a pipe and loses the press corps, he'll blend in easily with the other tweedy academics on campus. Though the former V.P. has been criticized for his style, a survey of his career suggests he has always known how to dress the part.
