FLUNKING THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST

Students worldwide get low marks from their professors for their ability to handle college, but few students fare worse than Americans, according to a recent study. The number of American teachers satisfied with their students' math and quantitative reasoning abilities reached only 15 percent -- the lowest of any of the 14 nations surveyed by the Carnegie Foundation.
