The Gamer

Like any other kid I enjoy doing things. Some of the things I enjoy are baseball, soccer and snow skiing. I also enjoy reading, playing video games and playing with my dog, Shadow. My dad recently purchased jet skis, so now we go to the lake during the spring and summer time.

Traveling is fun, too, and I go on vacations with my parents once in awhile. My mother just took me to Mexico to see the Mayan ruins where we had lots of fun. I like television but my parents keep a pretty close eye on how much and what I watch. Sometimes they even watch my shows with me. I spend lots of time with my friends from school when I can. Most of them live close by, so we can walk to each other's houses or ride our bikes.

My favorite video game is Halo 2. This game is lots of fun because I can play with my friends and have random battles with everybody. You can also play against the computer but it's not as fun because you can predict what happens. The object of the game is for the humans to kill the aliens and blow up Halo Delta to save the galaxy. There is also another part of the game called Xbox live, which allows you to play other people on line. Some of my favorite weapons in the game are shot gun, energy sword and the rocket launcher. The hours I play this game varies if I have friends over or not, but usually around it's around four hours a week.

I also play another game called Star Craft Brood War on the computer over the Internet. This is lots of fun, too, because there are lots of mini games you can play quickly with different people. The object of the game is to build up a colony starting with three people and grow it big enough to wipe out other enemy colonies. The colonies are made up of three different types of species. My favorite colony is Protoss because they can mind control people and they're strong. I play this game about 10 hours a week and would play it more if my parents would let me.

Television is something I get to do in my spare time when my parents allow me to. We spend time watching the Travel Channel, the History Channel, National Geographic, South Park or The Simpsons. South Park is my favorite show. The characters make fun of people and do stupid stuff. My favorite character is Cartman. He's fat and he makes fun of all the other characters. This show comes on kind of late so I don't always get to watch it. I consider myself to be an average kid who likes to do things and not just lie around. I play sports all year—skiing in the wintertime, baseball in the springtime and soccer in the fall. I can't wait to turn 16 years old someday so that I can start to drive. Oh yeah, my mom and dad are the greatest too and I like spending time with them both.
