CLEANER GAS FOR AMERICA'S SMOGGIEST CITIES

The EPA ordered that by next year, gas stations in America's nine smoggiest cities must sell cleaner-burning gasoline. The decision is a boost for ethanol -- and farmers, since corn-based ethanol is the only such oxygenate that can be produced in large enough quantities to meet the expected demand. The new fuel should lower toxic emissions by 15 percent, but boost your fuel bill three to five cents per gallon.
