WORLD CUP STAR BOOTED FOR DRUG USE

The first World Cup scandal came to light today, when Argentina's internationally renowned soccer hero Diego Maradona was removed from the country's team after testing positive for an adrenaline booster. The test result has stopped the superstar's comeback bid in its tracks; Maradona was banned from the sport in 1991 for cocaine use, but most recently has been training hard for his fourth World Cup appearance, at which he has already led his team to two victories and the second round. The Argentinians will not be penalized but have lost their best player, who would have made history tonight by playing in his 22nd World Cup match.
