O.J. . . . THE GOOD NEWS, AND THE BAD
O.J. Simpson may be in the fight of his life, but he does not have cancer, a spokesperson for his attorney says. The question was raised last Thursday when Simpson was hospitalized and doctors tested tissue from swollen lymph nodes under his right armpit. AIDS and other infectious diseases have also been ruled out.But otherwise, O.J. faced a series of bad news: One of his detectives, John McNally, 60, is under investigation by the FBI, according to this week's TIME. And other news reports say that a phone call between Nicole Simpson and her mother occurred at 9:40 p.m. -- over an hour before O.J. took off for Chicago. This gives O.J. plenty of time commit the murders, or so the prosecution is expected to claim at the trial.
