The Last Weekend
Three games left. Sixty-five apiece. Sosa and McGwire head into the final weekend of the baseball season with perhaps 12 at bats apiece to claim the all-time home run crown. But Sosa heads to Houston with more on his mind than Ruthian history: The Cubs have to hold off the New York Mets and the San Francisco Giants if the game's most frustrated franchise wants to get a shot at its first World Series ring in 90 years. McGwire has the luxury of focus, but it hasn't helped -- His Burliness is just 2 for 10 with two singles since homering on Sunday. Bold Prediction: McGwire hits two this weekend, but Sammy notches three -- and the Cubs make the playoffs.
