SIMPSON DEFENSE GOING AFTER POLICE

O.J. Simpson's lawyers filed a motion in court seeking to open personnel records on the police officers who investigated the murders. Observers say this means they may mount a character attack on the Los Angeles cops. An article in The New Yorker has protrayed one of the detectives in the case as a racist.
