INTERNATIONAL ABORTION BATTLE HEATS UP
Abortion is necessary for population control, the respected British medical journal Lancet declared in an editorial today. It's the latest rhetorical rocket launched in the battle over population control, which is heating up as the start of the U.N. conference on the topic approaches next month. "No country has achieved smaller families or low maternal mortality without access to safe abortion -- and none will in the foreseeable future," the editorial argues. The Vatican, of course, begs to differ.
