PREDICTING PROSTATE CANCER

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the first blood test for prostate cancer, substantially increasing the odds of early detection of the disease. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer killer of American men. The FDA said that using the blood test bumped the accuracy of the traditional digital rectal exam by at least 25 percent.
