SWEDEN . . . WOMEN, SOCIALISTS WIN BIG

Sweden may soon be the only Western country whose government comes close to matching its population -- at least gender-wise. In yesterday's national elections, women captured 41 percent of all parliament seats. The other winner: the liberal Social Democratic party, which drove out the Conservative government. BTW: The world record for women holding the largest share of government seats is 46 percent, in the African Republic of Seychelles.
