O.J. . . . THE FIRST CUT
Judge Lance Ito identified 311 potential jurors for the O.J. Simpson case today, completing the first round in the selection process. The next step: all 311 candidates get grilled by attorneys on both sides next month. The goal is to narrow the field down to 12 finalists and eight alternates for the trial, which will begin in earnest in November.
