BOSNIA. . . SERBS OPEN FIRE ON U.N TROOPS, MUSLIMS

U.N. peacekeepers and Bosnian Serb soldiers traded fire in a conflict near the northern town of Gradacac today. The U.N. soldiers were trying to take an observation post when Serb soldiers in a T-55 tank opened fire. UN soldiers repelled them, but the incident was evidence of the growing lack of Serb respect for the U.N. troops. The Serbs also didn't let up on the Bosnian Muslims: A mortar round struck Sarajevo today, injuring seven people in the besieged capital's worst shelling incident in months.
