SAFE AREAS SHELLED
Serbs from Croatia for the first time joined their Serb cousins in Bosnia in attacking two U.N. "safe areas" in and around the town of Bihac. The area has been the focus of more than two weeks of ferocious fighting as the army of the Muslim-led government tries to hold territory captured in August. The U.N. warned that the combined attack could "provoke a major escalation with dire humanitarian consequences." Continued gunfire attacks on Sarajevo included one hitting the hotel room of U.S. Ambassador Victor Jackovic, who was not in his room.Post your opinion on theInternationalbulletin board.
