DAHMER MURDERED IN PRISON

Confessedserial killerJeffrey Dahmer, whose bizarre crimes captured national attention in 1991, was bludgeoned to death early today while cleaning a prison bathroom. Dahmer, 34, died of severe head injuries, while fellow inmate Jesse Anderson, who was convicted of beating his wife to death, was also attacked and is listed in serious condition, a prison spokesman said. A third prisoner, also on the work detail, is a suspect, but there were apparently no witnesses, since two prison guards on duty were out of the room. Dahmer was serving 16 life sentences after admitting to brutally killing 17 men and young boys and acknowledging eating body parts and performing sex acts with his victims.
