ITO GROWS TESTY
Attorneys for O.J. Simpson plan to file a motion accusing Judge Lance Ito of showing bias toward the prosecution, CNN reports. The defense is said to be particularly upset by Ito's treatment of DNA expert Barry Scheck. In court today, Ito at times grew visibly impatient with Scheck's deliberate and repetitive style, several times refusing requests for sidebar discussions from Scheck and prosecution attorney Hank Goldberg, and at one point curtly telling Scheck to sit down. When Fung concluded his testimony, Ito began questioning jurors about allegations of racial tensions on the jury, denying a request from Simpson's defense to allow Simpson to be present during the interviews.
