ITO PUTS THE PEDAL TO THE MEDAL

Judge Lance Ito was watching all of his clocks today. He pushed the attorneys to speed it up, at one point giving defense lawyer Johnnie Cochran "sixty seconds" to make a complaint, and he ejected two spectators for talking. Ito also announced that the lunch break would be reduced from 90 to 60 minutes. The renewed vigor followed atwo-day break during which Ito interviewed unhappy jurors. The Associated Press reports that no jurors will be dismissed at this time. The jury today heard the testimony of criminalist Andrea Mazzola.O.J. Central
