BIGGER PLANS?

Also today, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that federal authorities have found a diary in which Timothy McVeigh and associates outlined plans for simultaneous bombings in Oklahoma City, Phoenix, and Omaha, Neb. The FBI denied that such a book had surfaced. TIME has learned that federal agents were told that a few weeks before the bombing, a man who looked like McVeigh came to the federal building in Omaha and asked about its occupants, whether federal agents were there and whether they carried guns. Federal investigators are now sifting through hundreds of such claims.
