The U.S. Embassy in Moscow has lifted its Cold War ban on romance between foreign service employees and Russians. The news was delivered in a memo to embassy employees officially blessing "intimate or romantic relationships" with Russians -- so long as the Americans kiss-and-tell. Under the directive, employees must march into the embassy security office and 'fess up when a relationship with a Russian becomes intimate. Some Americans, including spies and soldiers, are excluded from the new policy. Their roles are still deemed too sensitive to risk pillow talk.
