Jurors in theO.J. Simpson trialsat through day 100 of courtroom testimony. As theprosecutionwinds up its case, TIME's Elaine Lafferty assesses the trial so far: "There have been surprises, most recently the prosecution's decision to cut short testimony by several weeks. Now we'll see whether the defense thinks the glove that didn't fit was enough to convince the jury that O.J. is innocent. If so, they will try to keep their presentation short."The defensemay want to hurry for another reason as well. If jurors continue being dismissed at the rate of one every 10 days of testimony, the trial will run out of alternates by the end of July.
