OKLAHOMA BOMBING . . . LET'S MAKE A DEAL

The dealmaking continues as federal officials prepare to hand down indictments for Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols later this week. In Oklahoma City,TIME's Patrick Colereports that the prosecution is willing to indict Michael Fortier on lesser charges in exchange for testimony against his friend McVeigh. But Fortier is still holding out in an attempt to get immunity for his wife, who testified today before an Oklahoma City grand jury. Charges against Nichols' brother James are expected to be dropped this week.BTW:
