BOSNIA TALKS SET
Christopher announced today that the Bosnia peace talks will be held at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, starting on October 31. TIME's Douglas Waller reports that the State Department sought a large facility that has roughly equal houses for each president -- where, as State Department spokesman Nicholas Burns put it, "they don't have to bump into each every morning over orange juice. They're all presidents and they don't like each other. If you put Milosevic in a building that's nicer than Tudjman's, there are going to be problems at the very beginning of the talks."
