UNDER THE VOLCANO

The night sky glows around Nicaragua's Cerro Negro volcano as it continues to spew steam and rocks a thousand feet into the air. Thousands of people are evacuating the area around the 2,200-foot volcano 75 miles northwest of Managua as the surrounding farmland slowly becomes buried under a blanket of black volcanic ash.
