The Games — and international sports competition — were
forever changed by the deaths of 11 Israeli athletes and a German
policeman at the hands of Palestinian terrorists.
A member of the terrorist group that seized members of the Israeli
wrestling team at their quarters at the Munich Olympic Village September
5, 1972, appears with a hood over his face on the balcony of the
building where the commandos held several of the Israelis
hostage.
