all time, won four gold medals at these Olympics, shattering Adolf
Hitler's theory of Aryan supremacy. While the German dictator looked on,
the 22-year-old Ohio State sophomore won the 100- and 200-meter runs and
the long jump, and also led the 400-meter relay team to victory.
