Autumn has been a huge season for Dave Grohl, the songwriter, vocalist and drummer of the alt-rock band Foo Fighters. His previous band, Nirvana, released a new disc, Live at Reading on November 2; the Fighters issued a greatest hits album on November 3; and the super group Them Crooked Vultures, of which Grohl is the drummer, released its first album November 16.
